As some of you may know, I will be studying abroad in France starting on Thursday, June 4th. I'll be staying in Aix-en-Provence (or Aix for short) for six weeks, and additionally, I hope to do some sightseeing in Paris until July 23rd.
Aix-en-Provence is about a three to four hour TGV (really fast maglev train) ride from Paris, right near the Mediterranean coast! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the geography of France, I've attached an image below:
In Aix, I will be taking a Modern Art in Provence class and a Literature/Writing in Provence class. So, hopefully I will be learning a lot about the culture of Southern France! My goals definitely include speaking better French, making lifelong friendships, and trying something new every day! I will primarily document the majority of my trip offline, but I plan to update this frequently with my thoughts, observations, and evidence of new adventures.
I'm so excited for my journey, and I can't wait to share it with you!
